Admin Verification Process
To maintain the integrity and trustworthiness of Karma Check, every report submitted to our platform undergoes a rigorous, multi-stage verification process by our trained administrative team. Our goal is to ensure that all published information is factual, verified, and legally compliant.
Step 1: Initial Submission Review
Upon submission, an admin first reviews the report for completeness and adherence to our guidelines. This includes:
- Verifying the employer's registration and business email validity.
- Ensuring all required fields are filled out correctly.
- Screening the 'Issue Description' for emotional, speculative, or overtly defamatory language. Our AI tool provides a first-pass analysis, which is then manually confirmed by an admin.
Reports that fail this initial screening are immediately rejected and the submitter is notified with reasons.
Step 2: Evidence Verification
If the report passes the initial review, the admin proceeds to verify the submitted evidence. This critical step involves:
- Cross-referencing names, dates, and details in the report with the provided attachments (e.g., offer letters, agreements).
- Assessing the authenticity and relevance of the evidence.
- Ensuring the evidence directly supports the factual claims made in the report.
If the evidence is insufficient or does not support the claims, the report is rejected or sent back to the employer for additional information.
Step 3: Final Decision and Logging
Based on the comprehensive review, the admin makes a final decision to either approve or reject the report. All actions, including the admin's notes, the decision, and the timestamp, are logged for accountability. Only approved reports become searchable on the platform.
Handling Disputes
When an employee files a dispute, an admin reviews both the original report and the employee's rebuttal. The same principles of factual verification are applied to the dispute evidence, and the admin may update or amend the original report based on the findings.
